Avoid, especially the rifle ones.

A

Why?

i use bore snakes on my .22, hmr and all my shotguns, the barrels of my shotguns are very clean,my .22 rarely gets pulled through but when it does the boresnake does a great job,and my hmr has a cleaner every now and then to remove copper deposits and again is finished with a bore snake.

I have shotgun rods but they are very rarely used, for the bits and pieces i use a copper brush.

It was a hoppe's mate

Yep the pull cord on both of mine broke. Emailed the supplier who sent out a new one and told me to keep the old one, even told me that it's common and to cut the stitching that holds the cord in then use para chord with a slip knot tied just under the fluffy bit and keep using it which worked well so I never bothered complaining about the second one snapping.
