30-06hunter
i use a Bore Snake.. mine has a copper brush at the start, seems to get it sparkling every time. nice to keep in a pocket in the jacket so after a shoot, just wip it through then when home or next morning give it a better clean. delburt0
Been using a rod and mop in my 12 gauges for over 20yrs I discovered the bore snake last yr, I'm converted cleans as good, in my opinion better and takes 1/10 of the time. Still use rods for my rifles.... Edited July 16, 2013 by delburt0

welsh1
Avoid, especially the rifle ones. A Why? i use bore snakes on my .22, hmr and all my shotguns, the barrels of my shotguns are very clean,my .22 rarely gets pulled through but when it does the boresnake does a great job,and my hmr has a cleaner every now and then to remove copper deposits and again is finished with a bore snake. I have shotgun rods but they are very rarely used, for the bits and pieces i use a copper brush. Edited July 20, 2013 by welsh1

OvEr_KiLL
it causes pitting and rust in the barrels if not cleaned out properly

Trevorevans
It was a hoppe's mate Yep the pull cord on both of mine broke. Emailed the supplier who sent out a new one and told me to keep the old one, even told me that it's common and to cut the stitching that holds the cord in then use para chord with a slip knot tied just under the fluffy bit and keep using it which worked well so I never bothered complaining about the second one snapping.
