Whilst 'jugs out' ticks a box for me it's about 'sales' and most calendars are bought by women and given away at Xmas.

A bawdy calendar would sell about 15 copies on here (3 a piece each to be wipe clean 'laminated' to handful of saddos that pop up, get excited and forum stalk any female that sticks her head above the trench) but I don't see that calendar going on the kitchen wall of most homes.

There are stats for calendar sales and it's along the lines of 1. Cats in hats 2. Cliff Richard 3. Constable-eque landscape photis.

maybe 2 calendars - one with the best of outdoors related photography (there have been some cracking photos taken on here along the way) and one 'jugs out'. There should also just be the option of a donation to get the photos and to bin off the calendar

Think you are right about the format needing to be not just t&a if it wants to sell, and as you said there have been some great photos on the forum over the years.

I am sure that we all have a good photo of the dog with gun, or a stunning landscape or pheasant hidden away.

Keeping it sort of cute with animals and wildlife but with the shooting edge in it would make it more acceptable for selling.

Yes mung obviously it needs a bigger audience and sales potential than just this forum, however i did read the title and understood that the objective is to bolster support for the chosen charity of the year which this shooting forum supports, an action which not only helps the charity but also helps every day people understand that were not a bunch of gun crazed blood thirsty idiots, such fund raising events can do a lot for the image of shooting as a whole. I fail to see how an image of a lovely fluffy bambi (just before the trigger is pulled eh I bet, will be the thoughts) can have the same effect.

p.s sorry if that sounds a bit in yer face fella

Horse and hound forum did this for a couple for a of years, ladies submitted photos and they were hosted online and you had to pay to get access to view, slightly risqué photos but all featuring stables/horses and ladies showing some flesh. They raised quite a lot and it was in no way pornagraphic and there was a wide range of various sized ladies with lots of bottle to submit their pics.

I think tasteful bit of flesh would appeal more than fluffy animal just before it died (as above said that would be assumed by many to have met its maker next)

I'll fire a pm off to Billy and PTG see if it is possible to have a downloadable calendar / app which can be amended for the dentist appointment, might be an idea to do both download and hard copies

But the titillating bit of flesh scenario has now been done to death, since the WI did theirs every calender seems to be the same.

You don't need the animal just before it's shot photo, but dog posing with guns,or just the gun(someone did one on here recently that was good) pheasant sticking its head out of cover etc.

Maybe we should see what people have photo wise, and see if they are good and can be used for printing,i would be surprised if there aren't some gems that the forum have taken, not your run of the mill scenery and not posing with dead thing but genuine love of the shooting/hunting ethos.

I don't follow any of the logic I'm afraid.

I'm not suggesting fluffy bunny anything, I was suggesting that 'what sells' should be given more than a cursory inspection.

Don't let logic and business sense get in the way of totty getting their kit off.

As an interesting aside I think people's desk top screen savers are an interesting indication of what suits and where - picture wise. At work I have had 2 screen savers both robbed off this forum - 1 a boat in a misty cove and the other Stuart Ps fishing rod river shot (stunningly tranquil). At home it's kids and pets.

Just a observation
