RED you are quite wrong again, All sea trout are brown trout! but not all brown trout are seatrout.And they do have the same latin name have a look at the linneus classifications.So my good friend pucker up!!! <_<  <_<  <_<  <_<

Linnaeus is the name of the man who classified the trout, and the number the date <_<<_<

 

If you look at the cutthroat trout you will see what I mean. I'm not sure if I am still wrong but, I think you are right, they all have the same biggest catch loaction and weight. It is interesting to know that the wild brown does differ from the brown trout.

The full name of the European Brown Trout is Salmo trutta Linnaeus. In the case where the "discover" is being given credit his name appears in brackets, such as in the Artic Char Salvelinus alpinus (Linnaeus), Brook Trout Salvelinus fontinalis ( Mitchill).
