ace_of_hearts
Reading through one of my home brewing books last week I spotted a recipe for 'turbo cider' I will update with pics once I get my bloody laptop working but basically it is a gallon of apple juice (£6 for good quality pressed stuff), 6g of wine yeast and a bit of honey if you want it a bit stronger. According to the book I should be looking at around 7% with the honey and should be done in a couple of weeks. Im not expecting much as nothing good should come this easy Edited July 23, 2013 by ace_of_hearts

FalconFN
I've tried it twice but never got anything worth drinking. It gets you fit-shaced the same but it's not as enjoyable to drink as real cider.
ace_of_hearts
Lol one to maybe unleash on my friends then I have seen it online made with concentrate apple juice but I thought I would try posh stuff to give me a fighting chance. How did you find it taste then?
Fatcatsplat
Dump the honey and just use white sugar - You need to be able to rack it off into other vessels, basically leaving the sludge behind each time until it (almost) clears - Does give a very volatile ferment for the first day or two - Only half fill your fermenting vessel until day 3 when you can go up to three quarters or so. Cider or wine yeast is preferable and it needs a chance to settle - I reckon minimum of a month from first ferment to get something drinkable. holly
i make it from cartons of cheap apple juice in winter once finished its pretty tasteless so i put it in a pressure barrel and add a couple more cartons of juice to give it flavour kept in the garage the added apple juice docent ferment with it being cold it usually comes out about 3.5 % if you add sugar at the start it will increase the alcohol content
