lurcherboy
My vote goes for Monty Panesar. Who the ****? I hear you type, well check out the cricket. We claim to be a multi-national nation but have no idea who represents us in sport. He is one of the few British heroes, other than a certain Welsh boxer, who has done the biz for the UK over the past year and he probably get abuse for for wearin a turbin. I was talking to a geezer that told me Joe was from North London. ******* idiot. Please remember that next time we have a 'they let anyone in' racist post. Dunkield
He would be a good shout LB, I was wondering who would get it this year, we don't seem to have many obvious sporting hero's at the moment Always like watching th program just to se the highlights of the year, even if the live transmission makes it a bit uncomfortable to watch at times
Wookie
At the risk of sounding like a royalist, I'd be tempted to say Zara Philips. She's got the pedigree for winning it and has had the results this year to be in with a very big chance of it. She's also representing a field sport (more or less) which gives her a bit of a head start in my book. LB, Monty Panesar's a good choice too. As much as I dislike cricket, I think he'd be a good choice for it, but I have a suspiscion that one of the more well know players will probably get nominated for it. Cranfield
Its rather an indictment on our national sporting prowess, that there really doesn't seem to be many candidates. Aren't their any good racehorses we can suggest ?
