Cosd
I walk my dog in a field every morning where the crop is wheat. Why is it that he is constantly eating the leaves off the wheat? If we stop he'll stand there pulling it off and eating it and whilst we are walking he constantly runs in and out on the edges grabbing and eating as he trots. I'm guessing it won't do any harm as he's been doing it for weeks. Cos
al4x
I wouldn't worry some dogs just do like grass at certain times of year. Wheat is a slightly new one on me but as it ripens I guess he will probably stop
Mike737
Just be wary if it's been sprayed with anything!
PERCE
You also need to watch what your dog eats. I bought an 11 month old bitch in that kept puking regularly, when we finally opened her up the problem was a horn of barley. It had been working it's way down through her system blocking it every now & again.
la bala
my sons lab likes chewing wheat leaves, as mike 737 said just make sure the field hasnt been sprayed.
Mike737
I've just seen the farmhand on mine walking round with a back-pack sprayer, going round the edges of the fields. Had my son's dog down there for a walk this morning (we're dog sitting while he's in France). So I'll take my own advice... Mike
