dibbz2000
Hi all! Started trailing 4X4s a few months back and today was my first (and second roll ) The first being a complete over sideways down a 8 foot drop and back onto wheels job, and the second only onto my side. Started the day with a straight Suzuki SJ ended with it having all the panels bashed in, a buckled wheel, smashed windshield (as seen in piccy... ) and the drivers door wont open ! On the bright side I won 2nd prize in class 3 open and the booby prize of a swiss roll for the best roll of the day Anyone here a member of the AWDC (All Wheel Drive Club)? We were in Farley quarry today (near ironbridge)

Guest jonrms
Never tried that sport.. a few of my mates do... and have a custom built land rover for the job.... The funny thing is ... you get to see alot of military (oops X ) vehicals... which help you out of the deep stuff.... which quary were you in? Its a fantastic photo.... 's anyway... you should be wearing helmets... seen one too many accidents that way! and as a extra safety measure... straps to your seat for your neck.. but thats just what I preach to my friends.. who finally got it and its helped... once.. when the roll bar collapsed after several rolls.... I got photos somewhere.. will post when I find em!
Pedro
Excellent photos Does it ****** up the engine as well when it goes over like that? P.
fiiish1987
Nice! I've always fancied a look at that icelandic buggy racing thing! It was on top gear just before hammond went over a lake in one.
Nildes
Suzi's always used to do pretty well, being a lot lighter than Landies. Of course, once bent, its a lot harder to straighten them out. I had and LJ 80 once followed by an SJ but my Disco beats all comers for low down grunt
dibbz2000
Excellent photos Does it ****** up the engine as well when it goes over like that? P. Not really Pedro. You sometimes tend to get some oil in the air filter which causes a massive smoke out! But its easily cleaned! As were not in the mod class Helmets are non-essential. We have the complete safty harness kits in all our 4X4s which does the job should we take a tumble as its only class 3 (Off-road 4X4 with no major engine or chassis modifcations) the sections are reletivly straight forward although latley they do seem to be getting slightly harder.... Anyway, its deffinatly one of the best motor sports around and I enjoy greatly! We trail once a month in the Mid-Wales, Midlands area and I suggest if you can, come and spectate! Or even enter!!
