markyboy
Hi guys was at the clay ground today with my dad who I bought for him as above a gift a couple of years back its hardly been out the cabinet and still has the factory grease on it! So today we decided to go get it dirty and the dam thing kept letting off both barrels at once, it's single trigger selective and the ejectors are tight and don't always spit the spent shells out with any great power. Any knowledgeable guys on here about the workings of this style of gun or in general know why a gun does this ? Easy fix etc etc ? No sure about warranty on it ? It only happened around 4 times from around 100 shots but its not the best wondering when it will happen again and certainly threw the ol boy off his shooting Any help welcome Edited August 11, 2013 by markyboy
harry69koi
Sounds like the gun needs a bit of tlc from shear lack of use a decent relube with quality lube might go along way in solving your old mans issues
westmids1987
Hi i had a similar issue with my deluxe mk3,im not very knowledable but its something to do with the sears?mine double discharges if i havnt fully broke the gun during reloading,i was told its a cheapish fix but now i just make sure i fully brake the gun during reloading, hope this helps
kennett
Apparently its a common bettinsoli fault, my new diamond did it twice in 50 shots, changed it to fire bottom barrel first and not done it since in another 500 shots.....wait for everyone to turn up and tell us how stupid we are for buying one and that we should have saved up and got a real gun! markyboy
Are they not a great gun ? It's a tidy gun to be fair but looks can be deceiving !
kennett
I love mine, and i think yes they are a good gun but the same as anything you got the odd problem. Mine was brand new with a years warranty for £675, which is as much as i could afford, but a lot of people seem to think anything other than browning or berretta aren't worth considering! Edward Imp
Buy a berretta or winchester.
norfolk dumpling
Had same problem - quite scary and makes you look a bit of a d..k when you've killed bird with first barrel an you then muller it with 2nd as happened to me. Both times (was only twice - thought for several yrs it was me) I hit bird with misfire as well as first barrel getting some weird looks from next peg. markyboy
Would have loved to have bought my dad a beretta but I just couldn't afford it for this hardly being fired I can't say I'm over impressed
GingerCat
I suspect that the second trigger sear is in need if adjustment and the recoil form the first shot sets the sear and then fires the second shot. Easy fix and best done quickly. Had similar on my lanber.
