One more question, If my preference is to use shot size 6 for pigeons, would using a 2.5mm shot in home loads make any signifcant difference to me? wymberley
Don't drink too much now and no longer smoke and as I now don't shoot all that many pigeon, I reckon that I deserve the odd little treat. Decoying I use Supreme Game 1oz 61/2 shot. However, even so, I wouldn't buy them if I thought the shot size wasn't right. Just stay short of 45 yards and all is well. With home loads you can control the velocity/pattern and as 1oz equates to an 11/8oz of No. 6 pellet count there's sufficient to do the job and they're also easy on the shoulder especially if you shoot sbs. Penelope
Express Supreme Game? I liked these for driven partridge shooting. Ah, we'll spotted Mr D, but I am at work which doesn't let me open sites which have firearms on them, hence I asked the question The Specsavers part is probably right though! wymberley
Whereas Henry's list for lead is good, The Hallowell table has so many inconsistencies that it's better avoided.
