Mr pigeon
Hi guys just wondering if your first day was mid October, when would you stop feeding your pen/s? Cheers
Ferretboy111
Never stop mine as either run the birds from them up into other drives or drive the wood itself later in the season. Will reduce feeders to 2 and hand feed in evening every other day. Cheers
Kes
We move from hard feeding inside the pen to reduced feeding, moving the feeders farther out and towards the areas we drive. When we stop feeding pelletes and move to wheat, the birds are moving out anyway and we start feeding at some distance from the pen, then, gradually we move further out and start heavier feeding in the drive areas. In winter we feed kibbled maize a little to bring the birds in. We never really stop until february, but its just in large feeders, top hats etc - no hand feeding after they move out of the pen. Hope this helps but its just one way. Good luck.
Paul223
We don't stop either, electric fence stays on, doors closed as in IMHO the pen should always be safe, we only drive the actual pens on the last few days
