Pigeon driller
Was a brill day bloody tiring at that. iv done the 200+ day twice now this year first time on my own an i were goosed. think we have shot over a thousand pigeons in ten trips think its a bumper year and they have only just started combining last week so it should open up some good old flight lines that we havnt seen yet due to fields still standing on a lot of places. im god dam knackard today. simon6ppc
this was our hide at the end of the day,i was on the right with all the feathers as i did the picking, driller was on the left with all the amo as thats where we chucked it,we had to stack the pigeons up as there was no space left in the hide, the amo we used was gamebore 29 gram 6,s.. was good stuff to be honest, not to much kick but had enough humph to drop them out to 50,60 yards in all fairness.. simon6ppc
That is a nice bag indeed. Hopefully it won't be too long before i have one of a similar size. Do you send the dog out after each bird is shot? orite pal,i only sent the dog when the sky was quiet, luckly he was marking them through the net as were he sits i try to keep the net not to thick, other wise i can use him on blinds but it takes just that bit longer, some times we just leave them out there when they come in one after another which doesn't happen every day but yesterday was a one off.but ye as soon as there down i think pick them soon as, cheers simon...
