Smart Phones eating your credit

Found out most smart phones run an internet connection in the background for apps and other use likes maps and stuff..... I wondered why my pay as you go credit was going down on my spare phone after lost of hassle found this out

 

Data Roam and mobile data off unless I want it now stops my old I phone 3 wasting my top up charge for no good reason!

What's pay as you go? I thought that was for 10 year olds?

 

Had to laugh at that! :lol: Its also the chosen phone system for criminals as they're untraceable so do we need to be cautious of Pav? :lol:

 

Yes,if you leave your mobile data switched on 24/7 it will cost you money.Many apps have to be routinley updated and this eats into your data allowance. My phone (contract) allows me 500mb per month and if i go over its £5 for every 100mb after. However,i'd have to view an enormous amount of porn to get anywhere near that.

LOL But I also use PAYG, Giffgaff and my iphone costs me a tidy 10quid a month ;-) all the calls, txt and data I need for a tenner! Bit better than a lot of folks deals I bet ;-)

Oh and since Im only here for 6 months a year that's a whopping £60 a year to run my iPhone ;-) Show me a deal that comes close on a contract??
