Blakloks
Trying to help somebody find a good jeep for running around in and country pursuits, anybody had any dealings with freelanders and shogun pinins, both petrol?
neil3728
I had an old 1.8 petrol Freelnader 1 about 8 years ago, the biggest pile of **** ever, I owned it 7 months and it had 7 different electrical faults.

Albert 888
What about a disco. Had a 04 petrol freelander petrol engine was great but gutless, I was lucky and had the time and knowledge to work on it. Wouldnt recommend one to anyone who is unable to fix one. landy george
Won't waste my money on a Gaylander. Fender would get my vote. Less is more. No electric's No mod con's Or a Disco with No sunroof No A/C

Fib new
Depends on what you want and need... For myself I woud say defender -nothing else-, but I've also had a few freelanders and these are a hell of a lot more comfortable than any defender! Off road there's not a lot that can stop a defender, but a freelander goes a long way. Enginewise... You can get a bad one when you want a 1.8K engine... wymberley
Should whoever it is fancy something cheaper and potentially more reliable than a Freelander and roomier than a Pinin (I drove one of these around the off road course at West Point, Exeter under instruction which more than compensated for my stupidity and its capability is beyond belief for such a dinky toy) then an X Trail is well worth a look.
