auceps
Thats awesome bud was it expensive No I was given two but my first wife took one when we split up, (she has since sold it), and I kept the other, think I got the best of it though. Lord's Holt end? Yes looking across to the south barrier bank the duck decoy to the left. Jim Edited September 11, 2013 by auceps
kent
Do you rate him as an "artist"? I know he learnt when he worked for Peter Scott but the two don't compare as pure artists to myself. Art like beauty is often in the eye of the beholder though

Penelope
Scott had a prestigious art education though. Kenzie had an eye and a talent, if a little naïve, and has you say, heavily influenced by Scott, but to be expected, but aren't a lot of wildfowl artists, Julian Novorol? Yes and you can certainly tell those who have shot as the depiction of flight is so much better. There is a quite well known artist in one of the clubs I shoot, so it is no thing of the past. Kenzie and Scott were polar opposites as far as Education and social class, though their painting likewise. I wonder if we are talking pure talent or training? la bala
i had the honour of shooting the same marshes as him in the 60s, but the crafty old fox seemed to get himself 300yds closer to the tideline than anyone else. when Kenzie and Sid Right were about, it was a no brainer for me and the father in law. Penelope
I have scribbled and daubed a bit in the past, you need to have a degree of innate talent simply to get what you see and visualise to look anyway half decent. Kenzie had talent and with the correct training would have been a lot better and he was reasonable anyway. Like most, I only know from what I have read and seen about the man, but I don't think Scott gave him too much in the way of an artist's education.
