Highbird70
Dear Sirs, I need some advise and maybe a good soul that will be able to help with this task, if it is within the law. I will try it to explain it: A new Member of the forum, would like to buy my semi-automatic shotgun, but lives far away from me, in Newcastle, I live near Birmingham, its like 3 1/2 hours drive for him or we pay £25 my end, £35 his end, that to me seems a little bit steep for just a transport and signature. I have an idea, but I don't know if its within the law and if someone will be willing to help....the Idea: If someone from the forum, that might be travelling/passing from Birmingham, would accept my shotgun on his license and then take it to Newcastle, to be transferred on the buyer license at the other end, would that break any Laws of firearm licensing? and Is there anybody that as planned a trip from Newcastle to somewhere, coming back via Birmingham? willing to do this task for a reasonable remuneration? Will Poon
I can't see any problem with that as long as all 3 parties have a valid licence . Good luck with it pal

Will Poon
Out if interest how much is the shotgun you've sold ? The reason I ask if it's an expensive semi it's not really worth the hassle but if it was a budget one it may be worthwhile to do it your way

If your end wants £25 you pay that and your buyer pays his rfd the other end. That way you both take a hit.
