steve_b_wales
I've used the XSearcher which is basically the same torch but with a bigger head. Using it with a red l.e.d. I've had ranges of up to 300+ yards, but this was not in total darkness. I've got an IR l.e.d. but have'nt had a chance to give that a good test yet. I'm not sure if fitting it to a shotgun would cause any damage to it. A semi-auto produces less recoil, so maybe it would be okay on that. mick miller
I just use my modified 501, it's over driving a standard red led bonded to copper at around 2.8mah, 250 yards with that no problem and fits in a trouser pocket! activeviii
recoil on an LED should now be an issue like the old filament bulbs. i use a T20 with red led on the big rifles with no problem at all. if your going to use the figure of 8 clamp on the shotgun then i would use two but apart from that, cant see it being an issue. but i do not use the NM800 so don't hold me to that, i use a smaller, lighter torch.
