"Brave"(?) Hunt sabs on video!

I have just been watching a couple of videos on youtube which led me into a couple of videos about "sabs" disrupting hunts, videos which as far as I can see the "sabs" put up themselves!

The thing that surprised me so much is that these "well 'ard" sabs/do gooders/furry friend huggers always keep their faces covered and disable the comments section for their videos.

Surely if they cared so much about the wildlife as they profess to do they would be happy for their faces to be known to the general and well meaning public and would be willing to listen to, read and reply to any comments that viewers cared to make.

If they are too frightened to face up to comments or too frightened to show their faces (For whatever reason) then they might be better off not posting videos at all!

Any thoughts guys?

Have you ever come face to face with "antis" and if so how did you handle the situation and what was the outcome?

Please note that this thread is not meant to provoke or encourage any sort of voilence or threats of voilence to any "Sabs", "Antis" or anyone else that have any views that differ from us shooters/hunters - even if they are too frightened to show their faces and make themselves known!

Lol, can't wait for this to turn into a riot!

Watched a film last year on those Sabs who kidnapped that fox hunting guy on the island in Scotland. Said it all for me really, bunch of sad **** with most better to do.

I gave one some stick on Facebook about feeding foxes, I.e that by feeding them he's taki g the fear of humans away and potentially killing it, but he just kept on calling me a murdering *******..

Had a run in with a couple a few years ago whilst waiting for the canadas to flight, as the geese started to come in they ran out on the stubbles flapping their arms about and shouting, I just stood up unloaded , put my gun in it's slip and walked over to them ,the amount of abuse that I got bombarded with as un real and the bull I got about them migrating here all the way from Canada was highly amusing, but the best bit was that the white feral farm goose that was with the skein was a .......wait for it........Snow goose I just smiled and told them it's a farm goose that I know personally from the farm and that it just follows the Canadas the look on their faces was a picture, they just started muttering under their breath and walked off ,I waited for another hour or so and dropped a Canada and the "Snow goose" :)

The second time I had experience with anti's was when I was on a pay per flight day at a lake at the side of Fairburn Ings, there were about ten guns pegged around the lake and at one side was a steep field sloping up the road, we had been waiting for around an hour again for the Canadas, when a group of about thirty protestors turned up on the road at the top of the field with banners, flags etc, but they never got into the field probably due to the police presence, just as the geese came in a bit too high to be honest some one let a shot off and nothing dropped obviously and the protesters cheered and clapped , but in doing so turned the geese 180 degees and put the geese right over us again but this time they were well in range and we took five out of the skein :0

Aside from an incident years ago where a Larsen trap was destroyed, we haven't had many problems with saboteurs. The Larsen trap incident might not have been a true saboteur either, could have just been some random trespasser.

But there was an incident on a grouse moor where some protestors turned up and tried to drive the grouse away from the guns by shouting. But the gamekeeper offered them a tenner each and they came beating with them! Quite a bizarre incident.

we had a run in last year , while my daughters were out hunting , it was just a kids meet / cubbing . about 20 of them dressed in black wearing balaclarvers .

they soon turned tail and legged it when they realised that they were the ones being hunted by the terrier men and irrate dads

The fact that they always cover their faces proves that they know what they are doing is wrong. As said, if they were legitimately going about their business they wouldn't need to cover their faces.

Criminals one and all in one way or another be it just trespassing or abusive. They'll get no shrift from me until they are prepared to stand up and be counted. THEN, I will be prepared to discuss things with them.

I had one come over and remonstrate with me about shooting birds this summer, I just let him have his say, didn't even bother to address any point he'd made, just told him he was trespassing and that he needed to return to the public footpath or I'd call the Police He did try the right to roam rubbish, but was told in no uncertain terms that the right to roam only encompassed public access land, not private property. He then puffed and blustered briefly...and left.

I have had meetings on numerous occasions over the years with various extremeties of antis. From grey haired old dears to full on rent a slime. Suffice to say some will listen peacefully, some have to be told.

obviously not condoning any confrontation when out shooting, we are all aware of the implications and the proper process.

We used to get plagued with them every Saturday hunting, used to make the blood boil at times

We had terrier to ground and then they appear and sit in the holes so you then can't do your job properly

Had get the police out who just watched whilst we removed them from the land by dragging them by their feet through the brambles, nettles etc.

Not our fault they wouldn't walk!

Now that was fun!

Always very brave in a group until you happen to meet one on their own then they won't dare say a word

Had a bunch of the unwashed turn up out hunting one day, apparently they'd been out with another hunt earlier and an old guy had been assaulted so the police moved in on them dog handler aswell, told them to lay on the floor under arrest to which point one of them got up........i think it was a girl but it was hard to tell........so the dog pounced and bit her. Quite entertaining.

Another time they had given a chap a load of grief at a mid week meet, he told them if they were out on saturday he'd see them there. Halfway through saturday's meet down a quiet lane a transit screeched to a halt, doors flew open and a bunch of ex miners piled out. They had an old landrover with the sliding windows, you know the type, not much of a gap, but the driver came out through it by his dredlocks!! Matey did get done for it though, silly really turning up to dish out an *** whooping in your own builders van with your name and number on the side
