Rexcernui
I have finally, after many years of looking managed to secure a permission to shoot. I have knocked on countless doors but always the answer was no, usually because there are some high end syndicates that have roughshooting/vermin written into their contract. I live near welbeck estate and quite close to sandbeck and chatsworth. Somehow though I now have a signed permission, which I went and had a mooch around today. It's 3/4 mixed woodland and a little bit of scrub. I thought I would blank n my first visit but I managed a squirrel a magpie and a crow so am chuffed to bits. I have shot squirrels before but it was with a .177 air rifle and I they were headshot and they went into pasties. 30g no6 from 10 yards doesn't leave a lot left does it? When I know the land a lot more i would like to take a PW member around for a mooch if anyone fancies it. Wll post in other section when ready.
