spandit
Got to the RFD as it opened this morning and bought my first ever gun. It's a S/H Anschutz 525, with sling, scope & moderator. A bit tatty but I'm sure it will be fine for bashing the bunnies. £125 which seems a fair price with the accessories Cycles fine on CCI (?) ammunition. Put 70 rounds through it when I got home. Pity it only came with one mag but it should teach me to be more frugal in future. Have only shot it at 30 yards so far. Will try it out at longer range in due course. spandit
70 rounds when u got home , your not supposed to shoot it in the house . . It's fine, it's silenced... Realised what an awkward position I've bolted my cabinet into. Doesn't make access easy but then I suppose it's safer that way. Dogs are pestering me for a walk otherwise I'd go and shoot the other 430 rounds in my possession...
Scully
Great feeling when you get your first gun, never mind FAC.Mine was a Remington Speedmaster with the long tube magazine.....happy days.I even had hair!
dadioles
Well done, it is a good feeling. Do spend some time shooting paper and if you do not get every shot easily inside a 1" circle at 50 yards try some different ammunition. Enjoy your shooting and good luck with the rabbits. Andy H
Did you get the tool to hold the recoil spring in place when you refit it after a good clean , If not it can be a right pig to get back in without kinking the spring.
