GingerCat
Without wanting to open a massive can of worms, What it the effective range of say a 30ft lbs air rifle? this pump lark, how long and how often on average for say a 400-500cc cylinder? Which really answers this one bit anyway, how many shots for a .22 at about 30ft lbs? Finally are fac airguns subject to closed certs or on average are they normally open? Quarry would be bunnies and similar, good reason etc all in place. I don't not want a .22 or or .17hmr (hard enough to convince her on this one) and I just love airguns to be fair. Replies appreciated. Edited for the rather annoying and rather too common typos. Edited October 22, 2013 by GingerCat
evo
1, effective range is,,,,, how far you and your rifle can group well consistently 2,check out the daystate website ,,shots per charge is all on there for the 400 and 500cc bottle (get a divers bottle because believe me you don't want to pump an airwolf up from empty heart attack springs to mind 3, certs,,,down to the individual I shoot bunnies 3-5nights a week and use sub 12ftlb to great effect, stalking them and learning the trade is a thing of passion atb Evo
GingerCat
Thanks for the reply, nothing wrong with field craft, I learned on a sub 12, was just hoping to not have to check websites and if they are like cars can be a but misleading sometimes. And Might end up buying something. Point taken with the air bottle though
evo
from my airwolf I get around 350 shots per charge,400cc bottle and from my huntsman I get around 70-80 shots per charge both sub 12 but whilst out I have never ran out of air, have you ever tried to carry 70-80 rabbits  or 350 for that matter, atb Evo
GingerCat
Most I got on a good night with the Springer was about 25. And that's hard work as I did have to carry it. Was hoping fac air would fill a gap and as I have a safe already wouldn't cost too much more in the long run than a pcp at 12. Not. A bad shot either if I say so myself (full bore included) but a 700 yard hare is too much for me lol. Some guns will give better than that even at higher powers.

turbo33
My Airwolf does 36ftlbs with Bisely Magnums and will do 60 shots before the power starts to change. It has a lower setting of 27fltlbs and I got to 90 and then got bored and wasn't prepared to waste any more pellets Chrono results here: airwolf mct fac .22 40ftlbs chrono.pdf
