Teal for tea

Nipped down for a quick evening flight on a very small drain that runs through one of my farms .

It was a little quite tonight I saw a handful of mallard but all out of shot .

I did not go home empty handed though as I managed a very nice left and right at teal , I dropped the second at a very good distance but I was using Eley Lightning 3 inch 3 shot , but I guess dead is dead !

So anyone have a good teal recipe , as I now have four for a decent meal.

Cook whole in oven 220 for 15mins, breast up .

Take out and turn , breast down cover with foil for ten mins ,

And serve with what ever you fancy veg etc,

You can stuff the inside with onion etc if u wish ,

After making a rather mean fruit cake for a fruit cake today I suggest you take a look at the bbc good food website. full of good ideas. nice to see you bag a couple

Your still baking then , are you selling the xmas cakes this year ?

The orders have gone through the roof this year time to try some pastries for game pie

You should advertise them on here , I think £20 for a handmade cake is very reasonable , and they are so tasty they are almost adictive , I reckon its that herb stuff you put in that you grow up in your loft that gives it the flavour.

WARNING.....Last year Fenny hid a 20p piece in his Christmas cake and the wife ate it without knowing. She nearly choked to death.......This year he said he'll use a 50p.

Fenny does a nice cake covered in Temazepam, the kids love it.
