xav
I've had the jacket replaced due to faulty zip...and it broke again. I found a place in Liverpool where they managed to fit a big enough zip (on the right side as well) that will be able to do its job. They could not believe how flimsy and badly designed the original one was.

stirky
I had the same faulty zip problem on my first jacket in the first season i wore it. Rang Rivers west told them how poor it was considering the price and got a replacement jacket. Now the zip has gone on my second jacket within a year, total garbage, not fit for purpose, i would not recomend them to any one. I have however got a replacemet metal zip fitted by a friend for £10, much cheaper than driving to the shop where i purchased it from to get yet another piece of garbage. Did they at least admit there was a problem with the design when you rang them ? I can't believe that a company investing so much money in R&D can not spot a problem like this but then again, it's a product made for the american market where shooting is mostly inland and mud rarely a problem. Looks like the word has spread here in the UK; they seem to be less in vogue compared with a couple of year ago...

My breast pocket zipper went the other night, could you let me know if your friend might fix it please? Wont be buying another - they do let rain through and get heavier than lead when well wetted! Too dear to boot due to the massive advertising bills no doubt. Personally I am going to buy either ex-military gortex or fishing jackets hence forth as they are a lot cheaper and harder wearing
