henry d
The tide isn't right, there is a big moon, but the wind is driving the rain against the window hard. I'm off wildfowling Laters...
kent
Oh I just got back from dawn flight. Not a shot fired but had a good time and learnt a lot on a new venue, saw duck, saw geese non close enough. The only bad weather for wildfowling is no wind, clear sky and hot n sunny so get out there and good luck

wildfowler.250
There's no duck flighting at the moment with the moon. But you don't get anything sitting inside Crack on you certainly won't shoot any watching coronation street and hogging the gas fire good luck. At least it'll be warm at the fire Edited December 14, 2013 by wildfowler.

henry d
Had a Teal go over me at 30yds but not hit it (must have been the wind). Then five mallard went past as I was unloading so windy the water was being blown off the top of the waves, enjoyable though.
kent
Well I am back on the marsh this eve, wind is forcast around 20mph (good) and its due to chuck it down around dusk (bad). That said I found a flash lest night with more Widgeon poop and paddle marks in the margin then I have ever seen before! No doubt I will draw a blank and get soaked to the bone but its the anticipation Seriously doubt I will be stopping too long

Penelope
How did you get on Kent? kent
Oh, they came. First two with the wind up their bums from over my head slap bang into the spread before I touched the gun (even the dog missed them till far too late) left them swimming about as live decoys! Two further bunches came in the right way around into the wind perfectly into the kill zone which I succeeded in wasting 3 shots at each bunch (missing out in front over eager). Calming my aim and self down (remember guys its dark, windy, slashing it down and I am sat shooting precariously in a muddy ditch clobbered up in winter gear with my hood up! The next bunch then came in 1 shot over the killing zone flares them and textbook rising into the wind I take out a pair with my next two. 3:15- 6pm even though their is a moon light is bad, being filled with rain cloud. (no light pollution from Towns or roads to help) so I decide to pack in while they might still come in and not over pressure the spot. I thought I wasn't too wet on my return but the dog was saturated, this morning my soaking wet gear tells a different tale! Cracking night on a new venue to me, that's wildfowling below the high water mark Edited December 16, 2013 by kent
