Dekers
You need a true cylinder auto or pump ( so you can rapid fire ),12g, 2 3/4 inch , loaded with SSSG shot . squeak them in to 25 yards or nearer , no further, as pattern too thin . I have shot 25 this autumn near our free range hens . Where do you get SSSG, I have never seen them in the UK? What is wrong with 3, BB, even AAA? Why would you need to rapid fire at a fox less than 25 yards away? How many goes do you need!? Edited December 26, 2013 by Dekers

You need a true cylinder auto or pump ( so you can rapid fire ) We are not talking about a second shot.
