If the numbers ever got so low that crop protection wasn't needed you would not be able to shoot pigs at ANY time. They would be protected. Pigs? Gloucester old spots at 3000 ft chaps, Tallyho! It's why our Labradors weigh in at 2.5 hundredweight! Spaniels are completely out of their depth - well they are anyway due to the flooding.
