Jaymo
Looking through the collection the other day and dug out my old Airsporter from 1983 that I had back then. The thing is as a young teenager I thought lopping the barrel down to around half it's length would be 'cool'. Would now like to return it to its original configuration so is it possible to replace the barrel and if so, expensive? Thanks Jay
bruno22rf
Never heard of this being done-I'm guessing that the barrel is brazed in place and I doubt that it would be cost effective to try and remove it-I have never seen replacement barrels for them either. With a relatively low value might I suggest that you buy another one-they are cheap enough on Guntrader.
Jaymo
Thanks Bruno. Kind of what I thought, would never get rid of it to purchase another though as too sentimental for that. Wonder if a 'smith' could true up the remnants and also drill and tap for a replacement foresight? Anywhere useful for spares? Cheers
bruno22rf
I don't think it would be too difficult to re-drill and tap for a replacement foresight but if it were mine I would try and find a slip on moderator and use telescopic sights-this would be the better looking option. FalconFN
Unless you can find a barrel/cylinder on ebay for a good price I would do as bruno suggested. It won't be as accurate and the power will be down with such a short barrel but it will still be usable for plinking.
Dekers
I think you may struggle, but just maybe you can find a whole old gun in need of TLC and utilise the barrel. ATB! or you could make me an offer.....
