welshwarrior
Of all the grounds I visit in the UK I have never come across one that is 'fibre only' for my discipline. Shot restrictions yes, but never a restriction on the wad. What do you shoot?
Gee.
Skeet mainly mate, Ive never heard of any grounds that are fibre only for trap disciplines either, altho im sure there are some out there somewhere. Mainly going to effect the sporting boys more than the rest of us I supose. Most proper competitions held at proper grounds are not wad restrictive, but for your average informal straw bailer / club shoot its more frequent, may be due to the landowner/land usage etc.

Guest cookoff013
this fibre only rule really gets my goat too. especially in haybale shoots on farms. i do shoot fibre wads whenever i can. some places just dont stock them. or they have a special grade shell such as D&J or english sprouters in fibres. non of which i`d ever use again. while the one clay shoot i`ve been quite alot, its fibre only yet somehow, they pick up hundreds of plastic wads a fortnight much to the disgust of the land owner. it has made me seriously think about where i want to shoot, its actually cheaper to drive to a different place and shoot plastic shells ! its easyer and cheaper.
