The Essex Hunter
A little harsh I think, Obviously there are animal options, but many can be easily excluded, and the only reason he is setting it is because of a perceived fox problem. Once a pattern is established one night in attendance should verify the culprit/solve the problem anyway! The options are still out there....so it is and still will be a guessing game... A snare would work out well as you have to check them along side the Blue Peter clock to establish a pattern.. God for bid you caught any thing else which was taking the bait... As for being harsh.... TEH
The Essex Hunter
T.E.H not all of us have so much money at our disposal we can afford all the luxurious gizmos, £1.99 alarm clock or a £100 trail cam. The system works blue peter or not, in fact thanks you just reminded me of my first ever teenage crush "Valerie Singleton" You are most welcome....I shot 91 foxes last year with out the aid of a £1.99 alarm clock or my £70.00 swan trail cam.... TEH Is isn't a guessing game, it is an elimination game, as I have already said, many possible culprits can be easily eliminated, and has he seen prints, found fur, scats, possibly smelt them, maybe someone caught sight of a fox!? You are being harsh and nobody has suggested setting any snares!

You can only guess as prints fur scat only show what has stopped around the bait... to check the clock you have to go back every day to establish a pattern which in turn creates a pattern of human sent....so how would you suggest they are going to deal with it? Play it the Blue Peter theme tune until it keels over....? TEH

Tis1979
I'm not sure what the fuss is about on this topic, the fox clock is just a simple method meant to tell the user what time the bait is going it's then up to them to work out the best time to be there and using nv or lamp see for themselves what it is taking the bait if it's the fox they think it is shoot it, if it's not you don't. but you know what it is. Dougy
Anyway, For the pocket money price of just £1.99 it works, its worth the expense, it saves you sitting waiting for hours and hours wondering what time the bait knicker is turning up. Its been the death of many Fox's on my permissions, and has actually gained me more land to shoot on because of the £1.99 expenditure, and as far as the farmers have been concerned ive been top gun,and was actually awarded a medal for my efforts Thats a proper one
