bullet boy
Well after Fridays "Bad Start Good Ending" I decided to go up the Farm again last night. As you can imagine Farmers want rid of as many Foxes as possible before Lambing starts. I got there about 7:30pm and after a brief chat the Farmer and I headed quietly through the Sheep Shed to a bail where I rested my trusty Tikka .22-250 rifle.I always give my Yukon Ranger Pro to the Farmer to spot for me while I use my Archer to scan. The baited area is exactly 135 yards and I would say about an hour had gone by when the Farmer whispered "there's a Fox in the field".This Vixen was 120 yards when side on I took the shot and my Norma 50 gr V-Max bullet connected and the first of the night was in the bag. We both then headed off for a lovely hot cup of tea and a chat in the Farmhouse. After an hour we both again headed through the Shed to our set-up when within half an hour this big Dog showed up.He was at 140 yards when he too fell to the 50 gr bullet. To say this Farmer is just happy is an understatement!
grasshopper
Outstanding Mark. That's a cracking service your providing the farmer with. It certainly helps when he's enjoying it too..means your bait station will always be topped up and checked . Thanks for the txt..cheered me up on a 12hrs nightshift
