I had a mk2, my second air rifle when I was a kid. It had an interchangable barrel. Think they only about 10.5ft/lb.

They were prone to the barrel being bent up! They were so easy to cock folk left their finger on the trigger and would trip the sear before it was closed up and whip the barrel up and set a bend in it!

The Mk1 and Mk2 Have different methods of locking the barrel into the breech block I believe. I did one of these up as a first full rebuild project. I would advise you check the condition of the hole that runs through the back block, as they can elongate and then it's not worth rebuilding. I rebuilt mine with a spring guide and replacement spring from Chambers and I flattened off the back block to locate the spring guide. It shot nicely, but I sold it on as it wasn't being used.
