was our best day on the Mallard this season.

we've been averaging a dozen birds a outing usually a couple of teal or mallard with most of the bag being Pheasant and woodcock.

The snipe have not been in the same numbers as last year.

You keeping ok EW , after our call before xmas was expecting a meet but it went a bit quiet.

we'll be on the Pigeons soon, roost has been looking good.

missing and end of season rough shoot is bad enough.

having to go to a crappy job with the sun blazing on the same day is not good either.

but worse of all is yer shooting partners end of day pic text to show ya what you missed.

Is It me....but there's a half plucked pheasant.....what cartridges did you friend use....ask him if I can have a slab please :lol:  :lol::lol::lol::lol:

yep he sometimes has a habit of plucking the odd one when we have a breather from walking.

saying that he shot a pigeon on the roost last sunday and

when recovered had most of its breast feathers missing.

must be on an extra virgin tight choke :ninja:

on a different note ,anyone had pigeons pinched from under yer nose.

we've had it on the last two roost sessions with birds being less than 8m from hide behind us.

hard to believe anything would come near with so much shooting going on.
