shoot57
Hi all, just got a go pro hero and used it on the shoot yesterday and the footage is very good, but using the camera inside the waterproof housing my picture is as if i am looking through a goldfish bowl and indeed the barrels of my gun [if on the edge of the picture] have a curved shape, i think it comes from viewing through the plastic lens on the waterproof housing. So i ask, would it be better to take the plastic lens off when filming? having watched lots of go pro footage on youtube i don't see this gold fish bowl effect
andrewluke
the problem is that the camera has a wide angle fish eye lens(probably 170 degree),when looking at close objects they will look bent especially at the edge of the picture, andrew
fireboy
you can edit it in the go pro software which takes the fish eye out of it hope this helps Edited January 26, 2014 by fireboy
stubby
the waterproof housing has glass not plastic lens cover, removing it would make in non waterproof, check out the camera settings, as changing the settings will stop the curve, look on you tube
srspower
You should be able to set it to 120 degrees same as my sony hdras15

Duffryn
Its nothing to do with the case. Set the camera to "N" on the FOV setting and away you go
