Dunkield
.223 which will be 50grn 6.5x55 which will be 140grn and maybe 100/120grn as well. I don't mind using 2 different powders. H Varget has been suggested for the .223 and Reloder 19 for the 6.5 Just canvassing for opinions

dunganick
used vhit. as it was the easiest and most commonly documented powder range. It also performs well in my experiance and that of others who'm i shoot with. Use n130 in 222 n133 in 223 n160 in 243 and 6.5 all powders very good also tried n560 i think but found it didnt burn quick enough and we were getting balls of flame

AndyCM
Reloaders of the world, as there is an absolute plethora of powders out there, how did you decide which powder to use, and why? Hi Stuart, I looked up in the Nosler manual the most accurate loads tested - compared the calibres I wanted to reload and settled on RL22 & H414 as the most versatile for my needs. I have not been disappointed. Cheers AndyCM
bobt
Go to the shop you will be buying components from, see what they keep in stock, and only then get a load guide to decide what to use.

jcbruno
i just starte reloading myself to choose i just look at a manual find a good load that looks like it is what i want than i just follow the manual to the word and buy the powder that is in the manual its just safer that way you can stray from the manual a bit but like my self i am new to it and i would only sugest doing your own loads when not at the extreme pressures of your caliber hope this helps cheers and good luck
