roebuck243
Had cracking day on Rape today took 110 birds with hardly any wind sun in face, loads on field been feeding for weeks . Had to work hard for them bangers on other neighbour fields and barrowing all gear a long way but rewarded in end. Started at 9.30 and was done And dried up for 12.30-1 . Pinewood magnet 2 flappers and they poured in , large flocks mainly tho. They diverted onto fields on horizon not sure who's . There seems to be no end of birds on my rape permission this year but not complaining .

JDog
Hard work achieved you this good bag. Carrying kit or barrowing at this time of year is not much fun.
pigeon controller
Well done, you put in the effort and gained the results. When you look at a field it's not always the closest position that will get the best results . The problem in traveling the distance is the return journey with the ton of pigeons.again well done. Other posters note - they had been feeding on roebuck's field for weeks, now he's had a great day and done a great job for all farmers in the area. That's how it should work..... roebuck243
Agree with the hard work bit ,I've barrowed my gear no end of times this winter and I'm sick of it - roll on stubble Ha! But the birds will always want to feed where you can't get the truck . Took another decent bag of 86 yesterday afternoon an rape started at 12.30 and finished at 3.30 the birds were different again higher lot better than day before. Had a friend with me who's enjoying getting into decoying and he's loving it . The MUDs driving me crazy my gear is getting a proper hammering this year but will get a good look over soon. It'll be Cabbage time soon April once the rape grows up a bit.
