Andy H
All it mean's is 5000mAh has a larger storage capacity than 4000mAh but beware some of the chinese batteries are no where near the stated capacity.
CaptainBeaky
Look for AW branded 18650 batteries - reliable, proper protection circuits, and usually come up at their rated capacities.

Andy H
If you are after more batteries and have an old dead laptop battery .strip it down and you should find 4 or 5 inside but normally only one is dead and the rest should be chargable. CaptainBeaky
Be aware that some of the 18650 batteries you may be offered on the web will in fact be recycled laptop batteries, and as such will not have the voltage regulation circuits that a 'proper' 18650 has. These circuits protect the cell by cutting out to prevent over-charging or discharge - they can catch fire due to overheating in either case.
