Blunderbuss
Did this a few nights ago as part of a work leaving do. It really is an odd place. It's in a quiet residential street in West London, and looks like a ramshackle garage on the side of a house. From the outside there is no indication that its anything other than a domestic property. It's tiny inside. I've done quite a few whisky/whiskey distillery tours, in Scotland and Ireland, but nothing like this. It really is on a hand made scale, with one distiller working at any one time on the beautiful hand made copper still (named Prudence). They do two batches a day. Apparently it was the first new gin distillery to open in London for 200 years. The blokes who started it wanted to bring London dry gin back to its home, and even got a "drinks historian", to research a centuries old recipe so it was authentic. The girl who did the tour was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and cute, in a jolly hockey sticks kind of way. She kept plying us with drink too, which made her even more attractive. Please excuse the poor quality of the pics. This is because A. I took them on a rubbish phone and B. I was getting leathered on free gin. I liked Sipsmith gin before this, but like it even more now. We had generous samples of their gin, vodka, sloe gin, damson vodka and a couple of others. If anyone is stuck for something to do one evening in London, I thoroughly reccomend it. It cost us £13 I think. She told us there is 6 month waiting list, but we blagged it with a just a few weeks notice on the phone. PS, as nice as it all was, their sloe gin isn't as good as mine! Dunkield
I think she may have been exaggerating about the 6 months waiting slightly, you can book on the tour from next Tuesday onwards according to their site

Dunkield
You going? Yes. Not sure when, it's a but of a run into town for us, so we would need to combine it with a meal/more drinks etc.
