nderfel
I have the Licensing officer coming round on Monday for my FAC interview. Does the safe i intend to keep ammunition and rifle bolts in need to be attached to the fabric of the house? I have a cabinet already for my shotguns that meets all home office requirments but i wasnt sure about the safe? If it helps i am in Dorset and the safe is in a different room to the cabinet and hidden inside a wardrode Thanks Nick
Mitchell
There is no regulation on storage of shotgun shells.
saddler
There is no regulation on storage of shotgun shells. ...FAC interview. Never seen any criteria for ammo safes being fixed...my first few years I used a large tool box as I was told to use one for safer storage in case of fo fire

HDAV
Normally they expect it to fixed similarly to the cabinet most bolt one on top to wall and possibly cabinet

Brad93
A cheap safe can be used, doesn't need to be fixed to a wall afaik. Inside a wardrobe bolted down to the wood should be fine. Seperate from the guns would be ideal, rather than right next to an existing cabinet. Edited March 14, 2014 by Brad93
