pigeon controller Posted March 23, 2014 Report Share Posted March 23, 2014 + 1 but I never use artificial decoys and haven't for years I just stick a couple of birds in the freezer for the next outing I very rarely start off with more than 2 decoys I find if you have done your homework and get in the right place it doesn't take long to build up a decent pattern and if it does then you are either shooting badly or are in the wrong spot. Totally agree , you will see from my posts that I always start with twelve thawed birds, we use twelve as we carry them in two wine bags as it stops them getting tatty. Field craft is the best aid to shooting pigeons , I take the opportunity to watch pigeons whenever I can, while I'm fishing , walking the dog , driving etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
