Bluebarrels
Moving on from the first "gutter cradles post" thought I would post this just in case its usefull to anyone see the first post for how to make the cradles, this post is more to show how compact these cradles are 6x Pigeon and 6x Crow cradles (just to show them set up) The picture above shows them packed away, 12x ground/cradle spikes (use the same spikes for both sets of cradles) 12x Pigeon cradles 12x Crow cradles 5x chin sticks (to present the bird as a sentry) all this weighs less than 1lb and travels nicely in a plastic bag,not like the shop bought cradles that get snagged in everything I also find the gutter supports the bird better than the wire cradles(they tend to fall through) BB Edited April 4, 2014 by Bluebarrels
steve_b_wales
A very simple, but effective method. My mate has been using a very similar set up since the 1970's.

Big Al
A brilliantly simple idea. Thanks for that. What are the spikes made from? Edit to say, I mean the bit pushed inside the canes. Edited April 5, 2014 by Big Al

Bluebarrels
A brilliantly simple idea. Thanks for that. What are the spikes made from? Edit to say, I mean the bit pushed inside the canes. Bike spokes bent to shape and pushed into lengths of bamboo cane which then push fit into small holes in the bottom of the guttering BB

I have some white guttering left over. I'll paint it grey and give it a go.
