simon1979
hi all, just woundering if any one has the nightmaster 800 on a centre fire, just worried that the recoil my damage it. I don't plan to use it much on either of my centre fires but from time to time I will. many thanks simon
jimmyb79
I use mine on my 223 and can't say I've had any difficulties. They're pretty robust!
Dougy
Not me. 22.250.
mick miller
You cannot break it, the circuit components are more likely to be affected by extremes of heat and cold than recoil.

Tim85
I have one of these on order (should be here today) Can i ask what your thoughts on them are and how you rate them compared to others you may have used. Any hints / tips etc with them?
simon1979
I think there well worth the money, yes they don't have a wide beam compared to the lightforce type lamps, but they do have a long beam, I find the red led works better for me, even with the red led I can see eye shine out to 300 yards. what colour did you go for? atb simon
Tim85
I have got the white one. Going to get the red pill for it though too. Maybe a green but ill see how I get on. It came today an have to say it knocks the spots off other small lamps/torches I have played with! Got the quick release clamp an pressure switch too so I can't wait to get out with it. Hopefully tomorrow night! Edited April 9, 2014 by Tim85

Hopefully tomorrow night yeah, I found the white a bit harsh, I tried the yellow but ended up with the red led, your more then welcome to have a look at the red led if you want to see it first, just drop me a pm well good luck with it simon
Tim85
I think it will be a bit harsh but great for catching eyes. Was going to order the red demon LED for it too. Glad it has 3 modes to make it dimmer.
jimmyb79
I've got the yellow, red demon and green envy and although I like the red, I've found green to be the best for being able to identify bodies at 200 yds or so. Certainly see them further out than I'd want to shoot them at night!
simon1979
ive not tried the green, I have the red demon, but for I wish I could keep it on 1 brightness setting, full. I tried it on a .308, it doesn't like the recoil, it switched off and took a few mins to switch back on, but don't use the .308 at night much anyway atb simon
Tim85
Do you think there could be a fault with it if it's turning off when using the 308 as the seem pretty robust
