  1. Top chap, an a top morning! I used his 10 an it was great fun. I may be keeping my eye out for the right gun... but let's not tell the Mrs!
  2. Casserole is good for Canadian Goose, just cook as long as possible. I like the recook the day after lol Its basically a beef flavour. Grind the mean and mix with alot or pork mince (for lots of fat as Goose is Lean!) and make beef burgers for the summer. Topgunners loves my Goose Burgers and Muntjac sausages!
  3. For a number of weeks now i have be meaning to write a short report and most importantly a note of thanks! Since then we have had a bit of an up and down time in the family plus i turned 30 so I just lost track of time so here goes! Last year I posted on PW regarding a Holiday the family was taking to the lake district, to see if any one knew or was a memeber of the wild fowling clubs in the local area as part of the BASC memberships. To my suprise a member of PW (Fandango) responded and turned out he was a memeber of the South Solway club, which was not far from where we were staying! Result! We had a few chats on the phone and after sending some of my details the date was soon on us and I was in the lake district with the family! I woke at 3am to much amusment to my cousins who were still up drinking from the night before and met Carl in Cokermouth not long later, it was a chilly morning but this was what we needed! Carl drove us through some of the thickest fog i have seen for a long time (I wouldnt have found the place) and soon we were outside having a quick coffee waiting for others to join us on the Solway. I could hear the Geese in the distance already and the excitment was building for me anyway! After a short walk in the dark across gutters in the pitch black (which i fell down one) and crossing a fence or two we were in position, light coming up, Geese becoming louder and guns at the ready in the hope that a skeen or two would come our way! I was amazed at how the dogs were able to sprint around the shore jumping these gutters playing on our way down with the grace of the ballet! Before long we could see the Geese taking to the air, an low and behold they were coming our way! I have done a fair bit of inland Goose shooting over the past couple of years but this was something else..... I managed to spend at least 10 of Carls home brew 10 guauge cartridges on 3/4 skeens whilst we were there only to miss :-( I was pretty embarresed in all honesty but i still enjoyed massively enjoyed the experience! Carl not accept a penny from me for the motor, his time, load of his 10g and cartridges, maybe he felt sorry for me lol but it was an experience that i will never forget ever and i just can't thank him enough! Carl, if your in the midlands let me know and we will get out on the pigeon (if they ever return lol) or Deer etc. Top bloke, Top day, if you havent had a go at proper wildfolwing chaps you need to give it a go. I have been looking at a 10g since :-) Tim

    Thailand

Use the pre paid cards. Fair FX is great, Tavelex are fine and Post Office. Travellers cheques just seem like a real pain in the a55 option. at least with the cards you can take out cash when needed rather than havin large amounts on you. Plus its easier to get your cash back if stolen.

    Car search

As i see this, its firstly and most importantly illegal for anyone to search your personal property full stop. Which in the eyes of the law would more than likely make any evidence found in that search inadmisable and the case in a tribunal would be thrown out straight away. Secondly unless you have breached H&S rules by not washing / using PPE before handingly other poultry then what is the problem here? End of the day, they have broken the law, whether you have broken your companies rules or not!
  6. Thought the thread was a bout a rifle maker called Sue.
  7. I love my Browning Camo Baseball cap, top quality and isnt fading like the cheap ones!
  8. I would but just dont have the time! I may see if i can whip something up on Sat night for ya! Plus i think there will be more than enough food lol. Im picking up the game pie tomorrow in Knowle

  10. depends what the job is, at work at the moment but could it be done later?
  11. Im waiting for them to start bashing out a Defender when JLR stop making them next year! The Evoque is a ladies 4x4 really, an to say 4x4 is a push, yes its 4 wheel drive..... like the panda 4x4 is but its a posers motor.
  12. I think so! I live in Solihull an use this motor way probably 5 days out of 7 as a minimum so yeah i have a little bit of experience with it......
  13. On the M42 not matter what the signs say they will only go off if you are doing over the national speed limit as speed camera's to not adjust according to the speed limit on the signs. I think its like 70 + 10% and add 3 MPH, but i regulary go through them and have never ever been flashed. the only time people are flashed it seems is randomly. I know they don't adjust to the speed as my mrs is a highways engineer!
  14. My Cocker had this issue a number of years ago before we had her so the previous owner stopped working her completely. I have read up on the subject and most would recommend glucose powder you can add to the water or rub in the mouth too, obviously chocolate bars etc may not be the best for the dog, however i would use what ever i had to hand if she had any other fits / collapses. Some people just forget they are not machines though!
  15. Thanks Chaps, Matt, do you have a link to any good sites selling NiteCore? I left the charger off for a few mins, only put one of the batteries on for charge and its much quieter now. I only charge them when im in the house / work and never charge at night as i dont want the fire risk!
  16. Is that because they are dangerous or just ****. The Batteries have been great so far. Last plenty long enough but its just when charging the charger screams lol
  17. Hi Chaps, I got a Night Master a few months ago and its been great... however the batteries and charger (where the issue is) makes a horrible high pitch squelling noise when they are on charge, I dont think they did this when i first got them and i read that these batteries can be fairly...unstable (They are Li-oin - 18650 3.7v) I have had a look on some sites but most of the battery sites seem to have fanatics on them, which unless you have a masters in charging every type of battery and know the cycles etc etc seem to take the **** out of folks. Any thoughts, expereinces with this? My phone charger used to do it at times but im more worried about these ones going up in flames / exploding etc.
  18. yep, i got the sealskins hunter glove, (not the fold back one) and they are great. Waterproof and warm, nice soft leather on the palm and fingers etc. not had a better glove! £50 but i have had them one season now and they are holding up very well and can see them lasting years.
  19. Best and most comprehensive we found was John Lewis I think.
