malkiserow
So today there is a 3 legged fox running (speed limp) across the road in a housing estate in a bad way. Manky and in generally V poor condition. What would you do? Sensible thoughts please.

Mentalmac
Ask council if you could trap it and dispose of it? Or see if they'll get a pest control company out to do it?
byjovecarruthers
Nothing. It's a manky fox, what's so special about it? It'll probably die soon anyway without anybody spending time and energy on it.

byjovecarruthers
Ok, you're a softie! I don't but unless it's curled up in your back yard shivering I think you are wasting your time.

Thunderbird
Why don't you give that woman a ring who wanted to 'harass' the badger cull chap, I bet she'd take it in. Oh sorry, you did say sensible thoughts didn't you? Please disregard the above.
newshooter88
Dispatch it before it gets that desperate for food that it starts preying on pets or even kids on chance on an easy meal.
CharlieT
Dispatch it before it gets that desperate for food that it starts preying on pets or even kids on chance on an easy meal. What...................while it's running wild in a housing estate devouring children. Its Walmington on Sea not Beirut.
goodo123
Leave it, tell all your neighborhood about it. Then people may understand why some animals have to be controlled
newshooter88
Who mentioned firearms lol. What do you not think fox would take a baby if it was given chance?
poontang
Who mentioned firearms lol. What do you not think fox would take a baby if it was given chance? Highly unlikely, to the point of being almost ridiculous.
newshooter88
Ok then chief you must know best but if you look want there an incident last year were a little nipper was nearly taken from his home by a fox. IMO a injured fox is a desperate fox and needs dealing with its not right to let the animal suffer an avoids any damage it could do

IMO a injured fox is a desperate fox and needs dealing with its not right to let the animal suffer an avoids any damage it could do Well it all depends on what you would call a 'nipper'? Just to put it into some form of context, there are approx. 1.5 million 0-2 year old children in the Uk, and about 250,000 foxes. That's some fairly large numbers by anybody's standards. So far you've come up with one incident where a 'nipper' was nearly taken from his home!! It's hardly the invasion of the killer foxes is it? newshooter88
Oh so you wouldn't mind your kid been bit and carried of by a fox? Once is enough imo and i wouldn't want it my conscience and there hasn't just been one incident have a look happened a few times now. I'm not saying there an immediate danger to kids but given the opportunity and if there desperate enough they will go for anything smaller or weaker than it self. poontang
Oh so you wouldn't mind your kid been bit and carried of by a fox? To be honest I'd be far more worried about a dog attack than any attack by a fox.
scolopax
Give the MFHA a call. They will arrange for twenty couple of hounds to be laid onto the trail by a jolly nice chap in a red jacket. Tally Ho!
