tonker
I have just been reading an old thread on cradles made from guttering. Being lazy and not having trawled back through countless topics,I'll ask the question. Has anyone on here made shell decoys out of six inch guttering the other way up to the cradles, cut out with perhaps a jigsaw and then painted, or is it something I'm going to have to have a go at myself? pigeon controller
DBs brother made some out of guttering twenty years ago . I think they went brittle eventually but they were good in strong wind as they were heavy. They were eventually throw away, sorry no pictures. tonker
I'll have a look down the yard to see if i have any old 6'' guttering in grey, I think 4'' may be to small. If i have, I have one of those hankerings and will try some shapes out, I'll keep you informed on the progress.
fenboy
As PC says 20 -30 years ago decoys made from guttering was fairly common , I made my first ones , we did not even bother to paint them other the white bars , shined like hell but still worked fine . la bala
As PC says 20 -30 years ago decoys made from guttering was fairly common , I made my first ones , we did not even bother to paint them other the white bars , shined like hell but still worked fine . And then they got educated . I made some in the sixties with white card, rolled and held with paper clip, then painted with the kids poster paints, they worked well.
