Richie10
Loads in London. Seen them from the Richmond to Regents park. Also seen them crossing the M25 just before the A13 turn off on a few occasions. So they are spreading all over. It was reported a while back by a BBC wildlife programme that they didn't see them being an issue and a nice addition to our wildlife. What i can see that they would compete with alot of our local birds for food and nesting sites and they seen to use their size to bully other birds off feeders and trees. They need to be culled before it is too late.
four-wheel-drive
Been on the GL about 3 maybe even 4 years now! Collect a few now and again! Dsc02007a.jpg I did not think that it was leagl to strangle them with blue string I think if I had to choose I would prefer to have parots in my garden than bloody pigeons my dog found one once she came trotting out of the bushes with it in her mouth nothing wrong with it I gave it to someone that I new who had an avery never gave it a thought at the time that it could have been a wild one. Fisheruk
We have a few around Formby, Merseyside. Not a problem yet, but some birder friends of mine are concerned about the effect they may have on the local bird population.
