tonker
This chap was laid up 190 yds away from where I was,in the mowing grass, all I could see was his head. I could see flies were annoying him through the scope, and knew it would only be a matter of time before he got fed up and moved. So I said to my mate that was standing behind me, that we were here for as long as it took, and I have the patience of Job. Twenty five minutes later and the flies got too much for him, and up he got, offering a lovely broadside to me, I squeezed off the 130grn sst Hornady home load out of the .270. 1 leap and then dropped on the spot. When doing the Gralloch I found that the shot had taken the bottom half of the heart out,(well pleased with that). Just a tad higher next time perhaps. Sorry about the pic I only ever take my phone, and can't see in daylight. Edited May 6, 2014 by tonker
