Paul taylor
decided I'd do two jobs today. Pattern my sg and try out the flat crow decoys i made the other night. I've been missing loads lately so wanted to check poa and poi on a pattern plate, I'll not go into detail but apart from a few gaps in the pattern it would appear I'm missing cos I'm **** and no other reason it shoots pretty much where it's pointed. The decoys worked better than I would ever guess and 18 flat pieces of plastic brought crows jackdaws and rooks in from a good distance and height to right over my head only ten metres up. I hit six birds for thirteen shots not good at such close range but a big improvement from before. Ozzie the dog behaved really well and laid in the hide instead of running around like a knob even though there where pheasant poults in the barly behind us so he's coming on too and retrieved all the birds for me even if I had to help him find a couple. Not a big bag but not bad for an hr and half, me the dog and gun are all friends again, happy days

Paul T
Nice looking springer just be careful if you send him after a runner they can be bloody lethal with there beaks they go straight for the dog's eye's . I don't send my dogs for blacks for this reason if I am decoying. If I happen to drop one on the shoot I make sure it's double-dead first
