docholiday
As it is piddling down with rain I found myself looking through my photos and thought you might like to see some Red portraits from the winter, you can see the snow in some of them, all were taken on the west coast of Scotland and the last one was put in to show a bit of the terrain. It was hard work but worth it now all we want is for this rain to stop Doc
tonker
Doc, you must have a hell of a lens, or you're in a deer park, feeding them by hand.
simon93
Doc,where were these taken? As I have a good herd of these on the ground I shoot. Someone must have had a pop at this one as its lost its eye and big hole out by nose.
docholiday
On the West Coast of Scotland, due to the Law in Scotland you can wander over private land, in the winter the deer come down from the high ground making it easier to find them, the Stags were reasonably easy to stalk with the camera but the hinds were really difficult, no different to our Sikka down here on the south coast I guess
simon93
My friend has 12,000 acres in kinloch rannoch, and this time of the year the deer come down every evening to feed on his mowing grass, but they can reach 200 at times,he just fires a shot off but they don't take that much notice as nobody bothers with them.
