Hi All,

After a bit of help just given my shotgun the once over,as it's been in the cabinet for a few weeks unused, and I've noticed that the front bead is loose/wobbly,is it something I can re tighten or repair myself I don't want to go in all heavy handed if it's not DIYable repair. the gun is all but brand new and still under warranty,

Regards.

Unscrew it, apply loctite then refit.

NOOOOOOO, don't apply Loctite, if you catch the bead on something, and apparently lots do, and snap it, its a major problem to sort as the thread is blind and very shallow. I was told to just put it in with a little bit of silicone. That will keep it in and is easier to remove the broken threaded part if the worst happens. Info given to me by a gunsmith :good:

I have used loctite threadlock for years and have never had problems undoing a screw that had previously had it applied.

Its fine for something you can unscrew, in this case, as I said, if you snap the bead off and are just left with the threaded section loctited into the rib, its nigh impossible to remove.
