Jay-Zee
As above is there any real advantages as to each stock? Cheers in advance
Konnie
on a shotgun I like a nice wooden stock, apart from wildfowling guns and on rifles synthetic I think they are more grippy
welshwarrior
I prefer wood feels and looks so much nice than plastic.
Jay-Zee
I'm not wanting a range of guns just yet. As trying to get back into it. So want one for across the board.... I was wondering if there was any advantages over one and other not looks lol.
welshwarrior
Shotgun or rifle?
Chris Bb
I quite fancy a semi automatic shotgun in synthetic but prefer an over & under to be wood. Only personal preferences, go with whatever floats your boat.
welshwarrior
Shotguns wood looks better easier to adjust if needed plastic hardwearing look really carp IMHO when dinged up. Rifle wood looks nice can be effected by climate changes with possible accuracy issues Plastic less prone to climatic change some are very light some are very flexible, some a stiffer and super strong. snipers eye
wood is good
Jay-Zee
Shotgun. I'm going to use across to board from clays to wild. Which is why I want a semi auto not to big and heavy to be flogging around the marshes and stuff. Edited May 14, 2014 by Jay-Zee
Duckman91
I would go with wood then cause if you are shooting clays it's more acceptable as synthetic can be a tad frowned upon at some grounds and wood will do everything that synthetic will do but is much nicer IMO. Gordon R
Wooden stocks can be easily altered. Synthetic ones can be, but far more difficult.
